2022年3月28日（月）に人工生命研究会第3回ワークショップを開催いたします。第3回ワークショップでは、一般発表（ロングまたはショート）に加えて、チュートリアルセッションを二件予定しています。一般発表では、自律性、進化、意識など、「生命的なふるまい」を特徴づける現象に関連した幅広いテーマで、研究発表を募集いたします。研究会はZoomによるオンラインで開催、参加費は無料、聴講のみの参加も可能です。

プログラムが確定しました。

チュートリアルセッション

午前中にそれぞれ約1時間のチュートリアルを二件を予定しています。

1. 講師：Bert Chan氏（Google Brain Tokyo）
   題目：Training Sensorimotor Agents in Lenia（英語）
2. 講師：山﨑充慶氏（ALife Creator）
   題目：Screepsチュートリアル（仮題）（日本語）

一般セッション

午後に予定しています。持ち時間の中で発表と質疑の時間は柔軟に調整可能です。

• ロング：30分（参考：発表20分＋質疑10分）
• ショート：20分（参考：発表15分＋質疑5分）

申し込み方法

• 登録締切：2022年3月23日（水）23:59　発表申し込みは締め切りました。聴講申し込みは当日まで受け付けます。
• 発表・聴講ともに、下記フォームから登録をお願いいたします。

• 発表申し込みは下記項目を明示ください：
• 発表題目と概要（和文の場合200字程度、英文の場合100語程度）
• 発表形式：ロング／ショートいずれか
• 発表言語：日本語／英語いずれか
• 発表者が学部生・大学院生の場合は、職業の欄の「学生」にチェックを入れてください。学生表彰の対象になります。

備考

• 国際会議ALIFE2022（2022年3月1日締切）に投稿した内容での発表申し込みも歓迎いたします。
• 国際人工生命大会（ISAL）の論文誌への招待論文の制度もございます。これは原著論文を投稿された方が対象となります。
• この場合、人工生命コミュニティから適任として選ばれた少なくとも2名の研究者がコメンテーターとして割り当てられ、論文を注意深く読むと同時に、発表の際に質問やコメントを行います。
• 投稿締切は3月19日（土）（※通常の登録締切より早いので注意）、研究会当日の発表形式は「ロング」になります。
• 論文書式は、英語のみ、8ページ、以下のISAL著者ガイドラインに従ってください：

We are happy to announce the Alife-Japan Workshop #3, on Monday, March 28, 2022. In the 3rd workshop, two special tutorials are scheduled in addition
to the general presentations (long or short). General presentations are invited on a wide range of topics related to autonomy, evolution, consciousness, and other phenomena that characterize “life-like behavior”.

The workshop will be held online via Zoom. Participation is free of charge, and attendance only (with no presentation) is also welcomed.

Tutorial Session

We have two one-hour tutorials in the morning.

1. Speaker: Bert Chan (Google Brain Tokyo)
   Title: Training Sensorimotor Agents in Lenia (in English)
2. Speaker: Mitsuyoshi Yamazaki (ALife Creator)
   Title: Tutorial of “Screeps” (tentative) (in Japanese)

General Session (oral)

We have oral presentations in the afternoon.

Long: 30 min. (ex. talk 20 min + Q&A 10 min)
Short: 20 min (ex. talk 15 min + Q&A 5 min)

Within the allotted time, the time for talk and Q&A can be flexibly adjusted.

How to register

• Registration Deadline: 23:59 JST Wednesday, March 23, 2022 We closed the submission for the research presentation. Registration for the participation will be accepted until the day of the event.

• The following items should be specified in the presentation application:
• Presentation title and summary (200 characters in Japanese or 100 words in English)
• Presentation Style: Long or Short
• Language: Japanese or English
• If the presenter will be a student (undergrad or graduate), please check “Student” in the occupation checkbox.
  Student presentations will be considered for the “Student Encouragement Award”.

Miscellaneous

We also welcome applications for presentations submitted to the international conference ALIFE2022 (deadline: March 1, 2022).

For those who submit an original paper: The presentation will be assigned to the “long” category, and at least two commentators will be selected by us who will carefully read your paper and ask questions during the oral presentation.

We will recommend the best-submitted papers for consideration to the Journal of the International Society for Artificial Life (ISAL).

The deadline for paper submission: Mar 19 (Sat) (Note: This is earlier than the regular registration.)

The paper must be in English, maximum 8 pages, and follow the ISAL Article format:
